STANDARD RATE SCHEDULE: MEDIUM POWER SERVICE Rate 12
     
AVAILABILITY: Available for any type of industrial or large commercial use, having a minimum demand equal to or in excess of 50kW and less than 500 kW, taking three-phase service supplied at one point of delivery and measured through one kilowatt-hour meter (unless otherwise specified by contract) and subject to the Terms and Conditions of Service of the Cooperative.  No resale break-down, stand-by, auxiliary, or supplemental service shall be available under this rate.

PRIMARY SERVICE ADJUSTMENT:
 
If the Member receives service at primary voltage (7.62/13.2 kV or 14.4/24.9 kV) a discount will be allowed as follows:
a.       A discount of $0.15 per kW of billing demand.
b.       A discount of 3% on net energy charges before adjustment for purchased power costs.
 
DETERMINATION OF BILLING DEMAND:
 
The billing demand shall be the maximum kilowatt demand established by the Member for any consecutive fifteen-minute period during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for power factor as provided below, but in no case shall the billing demand be less than 70% of the maximum demand established during the past eleven (11) months
 
MINIMUM MONTHLY CHARGE:
 
The minimum monthly charge shall be the higher of the following charges:
a.     The maximum demand charge during the previous eleven (11) months, but not less than $380.00.
b.     The minimum monthly charge specified in the contract.
 
BILLING ADJUSTMENT AND TERMS OF PAYMENT:
 
POWER FACTOR - The member agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable.  The Cooperative reserves the right to measure such power factor.  Should such measurement indicate that the monthly average power factor is less than ninety percent (90%), the demand for billing purposes shall be the demand as indicated or recorded by the demand meter multiplied by ninety (90%) and divided by the present power factor.

FACILITIES CHARGE - A requirement to furnish facilities other than those normal to the particular level of service will be billed to the Member according to the Terms and Conditions of Service of the Cooperative.
