The October Regular Meeting of the CREC Board of Trustees was held October 7, 2010.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS
The following reports were provided pursuant to the consent agenda, reviewed by the Board of Trustees and acknowledged:

• Safety

CEO SESSION
Mr. Swank reviewed the following with the Board of Trustees:
• Board Strategic Planning
• Proposed date for next Ambassador Meeting
• SES Field Days Overview
• Delinquent Monitoring and Control
• Balanced Scorecard

SAFETY REPORT
Mr. Henderson reviewed the Safety Report with the Board of Trustees.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING REPORT
Len Tontz reviewed the recent Executive Committee Meeting which included discussion on ideas to improve the 2011 Annual Meeting by expediting the meeting, increasing ability for all members to be in the main hall, and decreasing the time members are waiting in line.

AWARE MEETING DISTRICT S 1 AND 3
James Williams and Gary McCune reviewed Districts 1 and 3 Aware Meeting noting it was a very good meeting with good member attendance and ambassadors as well. David Swank presented good information and members were impressed with the reported survey results.

AWARE MEETING DISTRICT 2
C. D. Mihura reported on District 2 Aware Meeting.

OAEC REPORT
Gary McCune reported that CREC is encouraging a coordinated effort to have a standardized statewide safety policy.

KAMO REPORT
Raymond Nettles reported on the September 10 KAMO meeting including the microwave and two-way radio project. He also included in his report an environmental study requiring GRDA to provide screens or lights and sirens to keep fish back when the gates are opened at their hydro facilities. The additional costs associated with the environmental requirements are not known at this time.
