CREC employees hold blood drive
January is National Blood Donor Month and Central Rural Electric Cooperative responded by holding a blood drive Jan. 24 through the Oklahoma Blood Institute.
Responding to an office-wide call for donations, 18 CREC employees visited OBI’s mobile blood collection unit parked at the cooperative’s headquarters. OBI supplies all of the blood needed by patients in more than 135 medical facilities across Oklahoma. More than 125,000 donors donate more than 250,000 gifts of blood yearly for transfusion and associated clinical services.
