Plug in to your world
MySource.coop is an initiative between the Oklahoma State University Computer Science Department and CREC. MySource gives users the ability to join communities and get involved by posting news, events, photos, videos, classified ads and more. Currently, MySource communities have been established for 22 central Oklahoma towns. MySource gives users the ability to plug in to their neighborhood, church, community, electric company and other special interests. Members have the ability to request to have new communities created. MySource messaging gives users the ability to communicate within MySource without having to share their e-mail address. In addition to collaborative features, MySource also provides a suite of personal tools that allow you to upload photos and documents, and keep them private or share them with other MySource members of your choosing.

The Board of Trustees of Central Rural Electric Cooperative has scheduled a District 2 Meeting Tuesday, April 14, 2009, 7 p.m. at 104 SW Second in Perkins, OK. The purpose of this meeting is to elect a Trustee to represent District 2.
The bylaws require a quorum to be registered at the meeting for an election to take place. There are currently 1,546 Members residing in District 2, which would require 77 voting Members present in order to elect a Trustee. According to the bylaws, “For the purpose of determining a quorum, the registration book shall be closed at the beginning of the meeting, and only those persons then registered or who may be present and available for registration may vote on the matters coming before the Members, including the election of the Trustee of said district. Each district member in attendance at the district membership meeting shall be entitled to one vote; however no individual may vote more than one (1) membership.”
The following two candidates have filed for District 2 Board Trustee:

Warm up this winter with warm thoughts of summer! Students currently in the 8th and 11th grades attending schools in CREC’s service area can participate in CREC’s YouthPower Energy Camp or Youth Tour programs.

The recent ice storm swept across Oklahoma in a fury, leaving much destruction in its path. On Monday morning, more than 32,500 electric cooperative members across Oklahoma were still without power as a result of the storm’s fury.
|

|
|
STILLWATER, OKLA. – The effects of the recent ice storm are still being felt by residents across our state. Although Central Rural Electric Cooperative did not have much system damage as a result of the declared emergency disaster, many cooperatives across the state were not as fortunate, and crews from CREC have been sent to help others.
